  I got my makeup done here for a wedding I was attending. The woman who did my makeup, Carol was about 8 to 10 minutes late for the appointment. Said she saw me waiting, but "didn't think it was me". Well, then why didn't you ask?? She asks me what I want done, and I said "a subtle smokey eye". So, she spends about 10-15 minutes trying to find the correct shade of foundation. She's talking to me the entire time, making me extremely nervous, because she didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. When she was applying the blush, she said aloud, "Hmm well that doesn't look right... oh well, I can work with it." I was internally freaking out. She had trouble finding every piece of makeup she was looking for. Finally, when she did the smokey eye, she applied one shade of dark brown all over my eyelid, all the way up to my brow bone. That's it. It wasn't even blended all the way. It looked like one of those "My boyfriend tries to do my make up" Youtube videos. So ugly. I tell her that it is too much, too dark, for me. (I'm pretty pale btw). So, she takes it off, and does the exact same thing in a lighter mauve color. Better color, but still no shading, not even blended, all the way up to my brow bone. I don't let her finish, because I know I need to get out of there, go home, take off the makeup, and do it myself quickly, so I won't be late to the wedding. I get home & look very closely in the mirror to see if I can at least salvage the face makeup. Nope. It's caked on, two shades darker than my skin tone, with the blush streaked across the sides of my face.
  I cannot believe that a salon would charge $92 for a service, and then provide a completely incompetent makeup artist. I swear, the way Carol was speaking and the results of her makeup, it seemed like it was her first time ever applying makeup to anyone. She had absolutely no idea what she was doing. Part of me wonders if their actual make up artist called in sick, and they got another employee to fill in who was COMPLETELY unqualified. Obviously, I am never going to Toppers again. I can't believe I paid that much only to have to take all of the makeup off. I am not exaggerating when I say, that was the worst makeup application I have ever received in my entire life, which includes friends doing my makeup when I was 12. I can't believe the lady at the front desk didn't burst out laughing when I came up to counter to pay after- I looked like a clown prostitute. Not only was it a waste of money, but also a waste of time. Because I had to redo it, I then had to race to the wedding, so I wouldn't be late.
  I wish I had taken a picture of my makeup before I took it all off, but I was in such a hurry to get to the wedding on time, that I didn't think of it.
